This thing is a beast! Very thick,sturdy, sharp blade. This blade is made to cleve and chop and has a seamless wedge blade geometry still sharp enough to slice. I think the real leather sheath is bare-bones and I don’t care for the design but it works.”

So I have a huge bread/cake knife I think the blade is about 15inches. I made the mistake of using that to cut into a fresh sourdough loaf. The knife was way too long, slipped on the delicious crust and I cut myself pretty bad. It was then I realized that I needed a smaller and sturdier knife for bread and my other knife has been relegated to cutting cakes.”
